Kisling, Nestico & Redick Providing Assistance to Ohio Citizens for 15 Years

2020 marks an incredibly important anniversary for one of Ohio’s largest law firms, Kisling, Nestico & Redick (KNR). This year, the firm celebrates 15 years of successfully helping Ohioans fight against powerful insurance companies that are not always willing to do what is right when it comes to fairly compensating victims. Since its founding in 2005, KNR has helped over 10,000 clients get the justice and compensation they deserve, recovering millions for people who have been injured in accidents. Below, we’ll tell you more about the firm’s history, its culture of giving, and why it is such an important Ohio institution.

A Long History of Representing Ohioans Who Need It Most

The mission that is still at the heart of Kisling, Nestico & Redick was evident from the moment the firm was founded. In 2005, founding partners Gary Kisling, Rob Nestico, and Robert Redick set out to create a new kind of law firm, one that put the client first and focused on providing outstanding legal representation for the people who needed it most. In particular, the vision emphasized helping people who were being wrongly denied claims by insurance companies. Because the trio had a background in the insurance industry, they knew that insurance companies all too often preyed on accident victims, refusing to fairly pay their claims. They wanted to do something about it and were not going to stop until they did.

From its start, the firm’s goal was to provide a client-centered experience that prioritized listening to clients. To best serve them and provide the guidance they needed, the firm had to start by understanding the specifics of their cases. The team knew that for people with severe injuries, whether their own or a loved one’s, having someone knowledgeable on their team could make a huge difference in helping them receive enough compensation to be able to pay for their recovery.

Through this simple guiding principle, fighting for the little guy and putting the client first, the firm has now grown into one of Ohio’s largest. To date, KNR has 11 office locations, 35 attorneys, and over 100 support staff, all working together to create the strongest possible representation for each and every client. Smaller firms, even those with the best intentions, are often unable to gather the resources that clients truly need. Due to KNR’s large size, it also has the time, money, and wide-reaching resources available to ensure that each client’s case is as strong as possible. As a result, the firm has recovered millions for Ohioans in need.

Charitable Support for Ohio Communities

As an Ohio-based law firm, KNR is an incredibly important fixture in the communities where its offices exist. Across the state, the firm’s employees actively volunteer at a variety of charitable organizations. KNR also generously donates to support local organizations that help less privileged Ohioans thrive. In its 15-year history, the firm has raised over $450,000 for Ohio charities and organizations.

While monetary contributions are incredibly meaningful to many charities and organizations, KNR doesn’t stop there. The firm makes it a goal to be a true member of its communities by creating genuine connections with the people and organizations that it supports. From personally taking underprivileged children on a Christmas shopping spree to jumping into ice-cold Portage Lake as part of the Portage Lakes Polar Bear Jump charity fundraiser, KNR’s staff and attorneys aren’t scared to do whatever it takes to support Ohioans.

In recent years, the team has participated in a variety of initiatives. Through its KNR Cares for Kids campaign, the firm donated thousands of books to area children’s hospitals and over 500 helmets to keep kids safe on their bikes. It also distributed backpacks full of school supplies to kids in need.

The holidays are especially meaningful times of giving at Kisling, Nestico & Redick. With so many Ohioans in need of things that many of us take for granted, like a big holiday meal or Christmas gifts, KNR wanted to step in and ensure that all families in the area could enjoy such things. Every Thanksgiving, the firm gives away 1,000 turkeys, as well as coats and canned goods. At Christmas, the team donates even more, with its staff dedicating themselves to baking cookies and making blankets to distribute as gifts to communities in need. The firm has also footed the bill on layaway to help families afford Christmas gifts for their kids without having to worry.

Higher education is another important cause to which KNR generously donates. Through its annual Stop Distracted Driving Scholarship, the firm gives $5,000 to an area high school student to support their future college education. Applicants apply for the scholarship by creating a plan to encourage young people to steer clear of distracted driving. The initiative, which involves promoting the winning idea, also allows the firm to promote safe driving practices among youth, who are often seriously injured because of distracted driving.

Renowned Work Across the State

From a visionary model of how best to fight for clients to a commitment to community giving, Kisling, Nestico & Redick is among the state’s most respected firms. While doing good work is always what motivates the KNR team most, it is no coincidence that their efforts have resulted in both local and national praise. Not only is the firm highly reviewed by its clients, but it has also garnered many accolades. The firm has been lauded by various legal associations and received a large number of honors and awards for its work.

For starters, KNR holds membership in both the Million Dollar Advocates Forum and the Multi-Million Dollar Advocate Forums, which are some of the country’s most prestigious groups of trial lawyers. It has also been listed in Ohio Super Lawyers, including the Top 100 Lawyers in Ohio and the Top 50 Lawyers in Cleveland. The National Trial Lawyers Association has included KNR on its Top 100 Trial Lawyers in America list, as well as the Top 100 Trial Lawyers in Ohio list. In addition, the firm has received the prestigious honor of being named part of the the Top 10 Under 40 by the National Academy of Personal Injury Attorneys.

The Future of KNR

With a solid 15 years of outstanding legal and community service under its belt, Kisling, Nestico & Redick shows no signs of stopping when it comes to working hard for Ohioans. Moving forward, KNR plans to give even more to local charities, continue to fight for the rights of injury victims against insurance companies, and keep innovating new ways to help its clients and communities.
